Colbert Singing With Students Is the Perfect Preamble to His New Late Show

Tonight’s the night! At long last, DonorsChoose.org board member Stephen Colbert returns to television for what we’re sure will be a glorious evening of late-night comedy.

Colbert has long been one of our champions, not just in donating to classrooms on our site, but to helping teachers inside the classroom, too.

In 2013, he stopped by P.S. 33 in New York, New York, to teach a lesson on satire and quiz Ms. Zimmerman’s 3rd-grade students on the Preamble to the United States Constitution. If you don’t believe us, check out this never-before-seen video of the moment:

Here’s a recent interview he did with CBS Sunday Morning, where he explains why education is important, and why he chooses to support teachers and students through DonorsChoose.org.
